Founding Story
Faith In Christ Tabernacle was born by the Holy Spirit through the hearts of Errol and Joan Jocims. Errol Denver Jocims is the last born of Willem and Peteonella Jocims, who raised him in the church and presence of God Almighty. Being in fasting and prayer for a number days by the command of the Holy Spirit, Errol received writings to pin down, which at a later stage was read and confirmed to be a Ministry by Pastor Melvin Palmer. Errol Denver Jocims was wholeheartedly supported by his wife Joan Cornelia Jocims in prayer, seeking the face of God to give directions on when and how to start Faith In Christ Tabernacle. God answered through an associate ministry friend, Evangelist Hendrik Snyders, to lodge a 4 day crusade in which Faith In Christ Tabernacle was established. Trusting in God, Errol and Joan Jocims acted on God's command with the crusade which was blessed and brought amazing change in the lives of those accepting Christ Jesus as their Lord and Saviour.
They had no building or place of worship after the crusade, which brought worries to their hearts, but was quenched completely by the love of God. Errol and Joan Jocims started the ministry in the kitchen of their personal God-loving home with just a few members in Christ. As the ministry grow they expanded their outside porch to have meetings. God saw the need for more space to better serve the community, and therefore answered through the ministry support of the AFM Shakinah in Brits North West to be a blessing with a tent and chairs.
There were great challenges to find suitable land to start the ministry on, so great that politicians started undermining the church and wanted it gone. But through all of this God showed His hand of protection and came through for the church with land. Errol and Joan Jocims carry the vision of making a difference in the lives of those in need, emotionally, spirituality and physically. They are raising by the help of God 3 beautiful children, Tasmin, Carlin and Samuel. This God called and anointed family go by the motto "Be the change you want to see in this world". Today their hearts are still beating for Christ and the Kingdom of God. They are dedicated to the vision and mission assigned by God and gives their time and money to the increase of God's work on earth. As a family in Christ Jesus they've promised themselves to remain faithful to God until death.
